Neil panics during love-making sequence with Priyanka Chopra

When it comes to love-making scenes, Neil Nitin Mukesh has still a long way to go. So it was discovered when Neil landed up in Coorg last month to play the first of Priyanka Chopra’s seven husbands in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Saat Khoon Maaf. During the love-making scene, Priyanka had to put all her acting skills into action to get the shy Neil to perform on par.
Apparently, there are seven love-making sequences for the actress with her seven screen husbands, each of different moods and playing-time.
The love scene with Neil turned out to be somewhat more complicated than he had bargained for. That’s when Neil panicked.
Thorough professional that she is Priyanka, sailed through the love scenes with her other screen husbands. With Neil, there was apparently some awkwardness and much re-takes before, much to Neil’s relief, the shot was okayed.
Neil doesn’t deny the absence of an adequate comfort level with Priyanka. “But that’s because I hardly got to know her before working with her in Coorg. It was like …in and out. We didn’t get to know one another at all. I hardly had time to reach Coorg before we started shooting. There was no time for proper rehearsals.”
Neil can’t help compare his inadequate chemistry with Priyanka to his great rapport with Deepika Padukone during the shooting of Lafangey Parindey.
Lighting up like a cigarette in the dark Neil glows, “Oh, with Deepika it was different. It was just the two of us. We had ample time to know one another before we faced the camera. In Saat Khoon Maaf, I am just one of the seven men in Priyanka’s life. It was almost like Aadmi musafir hai aata hai jaat hai.”
Having said that Neil is all praise for Priyanka and Vishal Bhardwaj. “She is amazing on camera . I just loved watching her give her shots. As for Vishal Bhardwaj just being directed by him is a learning experience.”
Coming back to the love scene in Saat Khoon Maaf, Neil protests, “It isn’t as if I was camera shy. I just didn’t get enough time to get comfortable. I’ve done a love-making scene earlier with Rimi Sen in my first film Johnny Gaddaar.”

Priyanka Chopra chosen to be National Ambassador of UNICEF

Priyanka Chopra needs no introduction. She is one rare combination of beauty with brains. Well, that’s the reason why this beauty queen has been chosen as the National Ambassador of UNICEF, to promote the cause that really requires major attention in these times: promoting child rights and adolescence. With this association, Priyanka joins the likes of Amitabh Bachchan and Sharmila Tagore, who too have been actively involved in supporting UNICEF’s work for children in India and around the world.
Speaking about her involvement, Priyanka said that she was extremely honored to formalize her association with UNICEF as their National Ambassador, in order to help bring awareness for child rights and adolescence. She also added that, over the past few years, she has worked very closely with the team at UNICEF to bring awareness to a number of causes related to India’s young ones. She hopes that by lending her voice, she can make a difference to their lives.

Shabana Azmi’s weight fluctuation for Gurinder Chadha lands her in hospital

After four days in Jaslok hospital, Shabana Azmi is back, finally without pain. It was a membrane under her ear that caused acute pain and landed her in hospital.
What is not known is that this is one more near-catastrophic aftermath of her weight-enhancement for Gurinder Chadha’s disastrous It’s A Wonderful Afterlife. Ever since she saddled herself with 35 extra kilos to look like a well-fed Punjabi housewife in Chadha’s film, Shabana has been besieged by health problems.
Who would have thought the latest complication would land her in hospital? Though Shabana now weak and resting at home maintains a diplomatic I-am-now-fine stance, she continues to be extremely vulnerable to illnesses. After her latest health complication, she isn’t allowed to use the cell phone for some time.
Shabana’s husband Javed Akhtar says, “The doctors said that the pain was caused by a membrane imbalance triggered off by a drastic gain and loss of weight.”
Everyone knows Shabana was required to gain those kilos and then had to go through hell trying to shed them because of various weight-related health complications. Having nearly got back to her original shape and size, Shabana would now have to confront health ailments associated with drastic weight loss.
The membrane imbalance triggered off the worst pain suffered by Shabana in her entire life.
“And for what? The worst film of her career?” a close friend asked caustically.
Adnan Sami who has undergone drastic weight loss says the body goes through tremendous pressure once it starts losing the flesh. “It’s called body shock. The appetite remains because when you become fat the stomach also expands. But when you lose the weight the stomach remains the same size, so it has to be filled with non-fattening food. I don’t know whether Shabana took expert advice before gaining and losing that much weight. She should have.”
Adnan consulted nutritionists who advised him to go on a high-protein diet. “I could eat as much grilled chicken and other meat, even red meat, as I wanted. I was forbidden oily food and rice/bread. But it’s important to supplement your diet with the right food while losing weight drastically.”
Is Karan directing portions of SRK’s home-production?

Is Karan Johar directing portions of RA.ONE? Ever since Shah Rukh Khan tweeted that Karan visited him on the sets of his film in U.K., the rumour mills have been working overtime. There were reports in a section of the media that Karan was directing portions of the film and had also consented to direct the songs. There was talk that SRK and Anubhav Sinha had agreed to take Karan on board as the second unit director of the film.
So what’s the truth? The truth is that Karan was present on the sets of the film, but in the capacity of a friend, as a good luck charm. Also, all talk of Karan being the second unit director is absolutely false, for the project is SRK and Anubhav Sinha’s baby entirely. They have worked very hard on it and it would be unfair to SRK and Sinha both if news like this is taken seriously. In fact, Karan was in his hotel room almost every single day, which wouldn’t be the case if he was co-directing the film.
Also, the talk about Karan ‘directing’ the songs of the film is equally baseless. Sure, Karan is a multi-faceted personality, but not a choreographer. At least not yet!
Hrithik – Priyanka teamed for ‘Agneepath’ remake?

While on Karan Johar, the other news doing the rounds is that has he finalized the cast of AGNEEPATH remake. Again, a section of the media seems to have finalized the cast of the film – Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra – but the fact is, no actors have been confirmed yet. Nor has anyone signed on the dotted line yet.
Also, the news that Karan Johar has started work on his next film, after MY NAME IS KHAN, is unfounded, since Karan is still clueless about what he wants to make next.
Producer Nitin Manmohan’s wife assaults him for cheating on her

Veteran producer Nitin Manmohan, who has produced films such as Baaghi, Bol Radha Bol, Shool, Chal Mere Bhai and Dus, found himself in a soup when his wife Dolly Panchamia assaulted him for cheating on her.
According to a report published in Mid-Day, Nitin Manmohan was having an extra-marital affair and his wife got to know of this. She even hired the services of a detective to verify the same and when it was verified her anger knew no bounds. She confronted Nitin and began assaulting him physically, even dragging him 11 floors down their apartment in Juhu. In a fit of anger, Dolly even hurled a brick at his Mercedes car thereby damaging it.
The incident happened in full public view in their building. Nitin Manmohan has now moved out of his place and is apparently staying in a rented apartment at Versova.
SRK and Gauri to appear in TV commercial for furniture brand

He is known as King Khan, she is known for being a successful film producer and together this real life couple is now ready to create magic on screen. We’re talking about Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan. The couple is all set feature in a TV commercial.
But this isn’t the first time that the couple is coming together on screen to do an ad. Back in 1994, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan did a series of commercials for the then popular soap brand Cinthol. And this time, they are all set to promote the high end home furnishing brand D décor. Gauri has donned the cover of Vogue, while SRK has featured in endless commercials but together they will be back in TV commercial after a long gap.
Gauri apparently, has always been shy of too much publicity and King Khan himself is a bit nervous of this sort of union as he tweets, “am shooting an advert with Gauri for a fantastic furnishing brand called D decor, very nervous, hope it turns out well”. Well, what are the chances of it going wrong when two figures of their stature come together?
