Aamir to play painter in Dhobi Ghaat

The very versatile Aamir Khan has done it again. After playing a 20 something lad in 3 Idiots, he will now play a painter in his 2010 release Dhobi Ghaat.

This is Aamir Khan’s wife, Kiran Rao’s, directorial venture and sure enough Aamir is extremely pumped up about the project. The film also stars Smita Patel’s son Prateik Babbar. The shoot of the film is complete and is now under post production.

In Taare Zameen Par, Aamir played an art teacher and a quite a convincing one at that. In Dhobi Ghaat though, he will be seen as a painter who lives in a small studio apartment in some congested area of Mumbai city.

Needless to say, it would be interesting to see Aamir in a very different role yet again.
